My wife and I came in from Phoenix for the Riverbend Festival and had dinner at Scottie’s twice. Our experience was fantastic on both occasions. The place was certainly busy, but the great food and our friendly server, Karen made for an excellent experience. Speaking of Karen, we cannot say enough about her. She is a big reason for us leaving a review, what a gem she was. I hope that management reads these reviews because she was just fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been to Scottie’s twice now. Both times we were told they were “staggering” the kitchen. We completely understand that so we weren’t frustrated. When we asked about the wait, the hostess said that she didn’t know.
The first time we went we left because we had waited and hour. The second time we finally got seated after 20 minutes. Keep in mind there were about 20 open tables.
We started off with cocktails that were $12 per drink. Our drinks weren’t even mixed… We then ordered our food, which started off with oysters. Those were great. However, we sat with our empty shells and plates for 20 minutes before our food came (gross). I ended up ordering the “Chef” special which was a fish dish that stated it was brussels, rice and trout for $26.00. Great. When the food came out- I was shocked to say the least. It was such small portions and the the fish was extremely fishy.
I will have to say I will NOT be coming back to this place ever again. So disappointing.
Save your time and go to the Boathouse.
I started off with oysters and Brussels sprouts. These weren’t great at all, however they are very new and need time to work out the kinks. The shrimp on my oysters were mini sized and Brussels were bland with no flavor. I will give them time and then return as it is beautiful. Service was great.
My wife and I read about Scottie’s after researching Chattanooga on the internet. We live approx. 70 miles away and wanted to go some place special for our 39th wedding anniversary and have a good quiet meal.This was a bad choice for that. It was in the mid 90’s outside and the roll up doors overlooking the river were open so it was very uncomfortable inside the dining area.We got there around 2 p.m. and was seated right away. Shortly thereafter a live band started playing and the music was so loud that you could not understand a word that the lead singer was saying. I felt sorry for the staff that had to wait tables in that area. Not only were they doing a lot of sweating but I saw a couple of them put their fingers in their ears.My advice is to dress comfortably and wear earplugs! By the way the food was good,but a little pricey and we had an excellent waitress named Alex.She was fantastic!

It’s very busy because it’s new and everyone wants to get a feel of the riverfront and sports bar flavor.
Packing over 300 patrons and 7 plus big screen TV’s (mostly sports that I love) the atmosphere is really enjoyable
I saw the kitchen run a little sluggish at times, and the waitstaff a little nervous, but when your offering a completely packed house, what more can you ask for?
What Scottie has done in this multi million dollar establishment is “on and Poppin” and I look forward to eating here again.
Whether I came for the food, the atmosphere was delightful and there isn’t anything out there quite like Scotties on the river.
Be patient. It’s new. It’s clever. It’s packed. Have a beer, order some food and enjoy your time at Scotties. We did
After waiting over 1 hour for a table was told most dinner items are not available I ordered stuffed flounder. 1 hour later I was served a rolled paper thin flounder stuffed with grocery store grade stuffing devoid of crab meat. It was served in a salad size plate and was burnt!!
Ban management, bad waitstaff and horrible food for over $30.

After waiting for 2 and a half hours we found out that the kitchen was not even serving food anymore!! We had to get up ourselves and ask a manager what was going on. After she told us that the kitchen was closed, she offered no compensation and said that it wasn’t her fault! NEVER AGAIN.
