Canyon Grill was originally opened by Lawton Haygood, a Lookout Mountain native well-known as a fine-dining chef in Texas, Florida, and California, along with his wife, Karen Haygood. Haygood returned to his southern roots back in NW Georgia in 1996 to open the refined southern dining restaurant, the Canyon Grill.
After nearly 20 years training and working with the Haygoods, Johnny Holland, along with wife Jessica, took over Canyon Grill in 2014. Under their direction, Canyon Grill continues to focus on seasonal cooking with high-quality ingredients – always letting the food speak for itself.
